AI-driven filmmaking technology company Flawless has formed a strategic company with Deluxe and Pixelogic to offer AI-led localisation capabilities in over 40 languages.
Flawless’ AI-enabled visual dubbing technology TrueSync matches actors’ lip movements with localised voice tracks, without altering the original shot or storyline.
“The use of TrueSync is a very liberating experience for our script adaptation team and voice actors,” said Doug Higgins, SVP, worldwide dubbing and audio, Pixelogic.
“They can focus more of their effort on a translation that better matches the original script, placing somewhat less emphasis on matching existing actor mouth movements, which gives us new freedoms and efficiencies in delivering compelling performances that are authentic to the original story.”
As part of this collaboration, Deluxe is handling script translation, adaptation, voice recording, and visual translation services for Tatami, directed by Academy Award winner Guy Nattiv and Zar Amir Ebrahimi, while Pixelogic is providing the same services for The Book of Solutions, directed by Academy Award winner Michel Gondry.
“In a competitive global media landscape, it’s more important than ever to make premium content accessible to viewers worldwide,” said Chris Reynolds, EVP and general manager of worldwide localisation and fulfilment at Deluxe.
“By integrating TrueSync’s visual dubbing technology, we’re able to offer our clients a heightened localisation experience, creating fully immersive experiences that honour the original creative vision and provide better suspension of disbelief for audiences. This partnership provides an opportunity to create a new standard in localisation, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in global content delivery.”
