Pro audio company Audiotonix has agreed a deal to acquire three microphone and wireless audio companies, DPA Microphones, Wisycom and Austrian Audio.
DPA creates microphones for film, live sound, theatre, and installation; wireless audio solution company Wisycom provides solutions for RF challenges in broadcast and live events, while Austrian Audio manufactures microphones, headphones and audio tools.
All three brands join the growing Audiotonix portfolio, which includes Allen & Heath, Calrec, DiGiCo, and Solid State Logic.
“With the development work we have been investing in with Sound Devices, it makes technological sense to add Wisycom to the team. The next logical step is to move closer to the performer with microphones, and DPA as a premium brand is the ultimate choice,” saisd James Gordon, CEO of Audiotonix.
