RTVE Play enhances AI-powered personalisation with Crossmedia and 24i

The deployment aims to ensure complete flexibility for curating content in a semi-structured manner—complemented by fully algorithmic, dynamic content discovery

RTVE Play has selected Crossmedia and 24i to enhance AI-driven personalisation.

Following a recent tender process, Crossmedia is providing enhanced content personalisation solutions for Spain’s largest public media company. Working in collaboration with its technology partner 24i, the OTT platform integration company aims to optimise user experiences on RTVE Play.

Deploying infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to ensure high levels of security and redundancy, Crossmedia aims to provide flexibility and scalability, integrating with the RTVE Play ecosystem, including SAP CDC for user management and Conviva ECO technology which captures real-time user activity across all RTVE Play platforms. The solution includes a redundant point-to-point connection with RTVE’s DMZ and a centralised management dashboard simplifies oversight, tuning, and performance analysis of recommendations.

Implementing 24i’s data-driven intelligent personalisation engine, RTVE is provided with a range of algorithms highlighting the most relevant content, with the company’s popularity-based models further refining recommendations using sophisticated filtering options. RTVE is able to create specific genre or content recommendations to meet editorial needs.
