London will host the world premiere of The Last Screenwriter, the first film to have been written entirely by artificial intelligence.
The film, directed by Peter Luisi, began as an experiment and aims to explore whether AI can successfully write an entire feature film.
Its story follows Jack, a celebrated screenwriter who finds his world changed when he encounters a cutting-edge AI script-writing system. Initially sceptical, he realises the AI not only matches his skills but surpasses him in empathy and understanding of human emotions. Torn between his pride and fear of obsolescence, Jack is offered the chance to collaborate on a film solely written by AI.
The Last Screenwriter will have its world premiere at the Prince Charles Cinema on 23rd June.
Speaking about the film, Luisi said: “We hope the film will be a valuable contribution to the current discussion on AI in the film industry.”
