Amazon serves up more tennis with new ATP Media deal

Deal includes UK rights to 37 ATP World Tour events

ATP and ATP Media have announced two new deals with Amazon Prime Video, covering both the ATP World Tour and its OTT channel Tennis TV.

Amazon Prime Video in the UK has won the broadcast rights to the ATP World Tour in a deal running from 2019 to 2023.

It will mean 37 tournaments will be available on the streamer for UK tennis fans. 

Amazon will also become the ATP’s exclusive third-party pay-TV partner for the Nitto ATP Finals at The O2 in London, the Queen’s Club Championships, and the Eastbourne International, with the latter two starting in 2018. 

In addition to live coverage, Prime members will have on-demand access to completed matches, highlights, tournament review shows, press conferences, and additional original content.

Meanwhile in the US, Amazon Channels will now include ATP Media's streaming service Tennis TV on a non-exclusive basis from 2018.

Amazon has already established a relationship with the ATP after gaining the rights to its Next Gen ATP Finals until the end of 2018.

Yesterday, it was reported Amazon has also won the UK rights to the US Open.

Our agreement with Amazon allows us to open up a digital space that is only becoming increasingly important in the world of sport & entertainment.”
