Zalman displays for stereoscopic 3D

The Zalman ZM-M240WPS is a 24-inch Full-HD S3D studio monitor for 3D editing. It features a 24-inch IPS LCD (16:10 aspect ratio/1920×1200 resolution), with deep colour depth (10bit colour/1.07 billion colours) and wide colour range, writes Michael Burns.

For viewing stereoscopic content the LCD display sports a full surface bonded Zalman micro-polarised 3D filter and a built-in side-by-side to line-by-line interlacing converter. An anti-glare haze film treatment is also available as an option. The monitor is housed in an extruded aluminium and steel case and comes with a height, swivel, tilt-adjustable stand as standard. An optional 85-degree tilt-adjustable stand without swivel and height adjust features is also available.

Also on show at IBC, the Zalman ZM-M240WPF shares all the features of the ZM-M240WPS, but with a number of enhancements. It offers dual HD-SDI I/O, direct stereoscopic monitoring, daisy chain linkage to multiple monitoring stations and built-in real-time stereoscopic processing. There are single or dual input monitoring modes on the ZM-M240WPF, as well as number of views including left only, right only and side-by-side views, line-by-line interlaced and left/right swap views as well as horizontal mirror view (for right-side image) and flip view (for right-side image).
