Vodafone Spain has released a 4K UHD set-top box.
The new release, which Vodafone claims is the first box of its kind to be launched in the Spanish market, is aimed at its XDSL base.
The British telco, which is the second largest pay-TV operator in Spain, will add four UHD channels to its content offering: music channel Festival 4K, entertainment networks Fun Box UHD and Insight TV, and Slow Channel.
Vodafone TV currently provides over 120 channels, and is compatible with digital terrestrial broadcasts and offers pause and rewind of live TV, catch-up and fully-integrated Netflix access.
The full TV service is open to ADSL customers, as well as fibre clients.
The company said it would launch the new channels ‘soon’.
