TVBAwards winners revealed24 October 2014
TVBEurope is proud to report the resounding success of our first ever TVBAwards event last night. The grand ballroom in Wembley’s Hilton hotel was the setting for a truly grand night in which deserving Awards winners were recognised, and talent throughout the industry celebrated.
Waiting offstage to escort those collecting trophies, I had the opportunity to hear the winners’ responses and reactions – commiseration for their competitors, surprise at their success and excitement for the future of what will hopefully be an annual fixture and highlight in the broadcast industry calendar.
Dr David Wood had earlier been announced as the recipient of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement award, though all other winners were kept a closely-guarded secret until last night. For those who weren’t able to attend we can now reveal the full list of TVBAwards 2014 winners:

‘Beyond HD’ Achievement for Excellence in Image Capture – TV2 ASA, Norway, Fly med oss
Achievement in Sports Broadcast – CCTV & Presteigne Broadcast Hire, The Boat Race
Achievement in VFX – Milk VFX, Natural History Museum Alive 3D
Outstanding Broadcast – Channel 4, Sochi Olympic and Paralympic coverage
