TV Galicia boosts graphics workflow with Chyron

Televisión de Galicia (TVG), the Galician language broadcaster in Spain, has upgraded its production facilities in Santiago de Compostela to HD. As part of the project it has installed two of the latest version of Chyron’s HyperX on-air graphics systems. The systems have been installed to provide presentation graphics for news and daytime programming in TVG’s newly refitted Studio 1 and Studio 2. A Chyron Camio graphics asset management server integrates the two HyperX systems with the existing AP NRCS news production system at TVG. The network also includes the Lyric Pro 8 graphics creation and playout software, a standard part of HyperX, which allows designers to create complex animations quickly. “As a committed Chyron customer for many years we rely on several Chyron solutions in our studios and OB trucks for news and sports production, as well as other types of daily programming,” said Antonio Posse, technical and engineering manager at TVG. “Instant compatibility with the rest of our environment, plus the support and technical expertise from Clearcom, Chyron’s channel partner here in Spain, were key reasons in our decision.”
