BroaMan has DiViNe time at IBC

BroaMan, the new start-up from optical fibre network specialists Optocore made a successful debut at IBC with products that pack video, audio, data and intercom signals into small, rackmount units.

The German company specialises in custom-building video networks from modular DiViNe (Digital Video Network) building blocks. BroaMan’s DiViNe portfolio provides scalable, protocol independent, routing, repeating, transport and distribution of multiple professional video signals, such as SD/HD/3G-SDI, over optical fibre.

Its latest product is the V3R-FX-Intercom-SDI, which conveniently packs up to six 3G/HD/SD-SDI I/Os and CWDM multiplexer, four ClearCom (or RTS) intercom ports, four Ethernet ports and four serial ports into a 1U device — neatly combining DiViNe, Optocore and SANE.

BroaMan also showed the DiViNe Repeat 48, which converts up to 24 SDI or MADI coaxial signals to optical fibre within a 1U device, equipped with dual redundant power supplies.

Optocore/BroaMan also set up an active bi-directional audio, video and intercom link between their stand in Hall 8 and Clear-Com’s stand in Hall 10, using the X6R and V3R-FX-Intercom for Clear-Com.

“The feedback [at IBC] was overwhelming and quality of clients extremely high. The show was 100% successful, and we now have a number of new projects to follow up directly related to the show,” said BroaMan Managing Director, Tine Helmle.
