A new digital video switcher is on display on the DVLab stand. Multi-format and multi-function, it is designed for small studios and can operate with up to 12 input sources including HD/SD SDI, HD/SD HDMI and CVBS.
It is also possible to use two built-in video players as two inputs. All input and output signals can be seen and controlled on an external monitor with HDMI input, as the switcher has a built-in multiviewer function.
All input and output signals can be controlled on the external monitor with HDMI input as the switcher has a built-in multiviewer. The switcher provides not only simultaneous operation with analogue, digital, HD and SD non-synchronous video signals; it also works with audio sources embedded in digital video and obtained from analogue audio inputs.
Up to four picture-in-picture, two independent logos and clock can be used, and the switcher allows for the creation of up to 12 presets with various combinations of PiP, still pictures, CG and so on. Two presets can be used as independent regular inputs.
The switcher comes in two versions. One is controlled via a standalone remote control, while the lower cost system is controlled via free control panel software.
