Prime Focus commits to Media Composer 52 July 2010
Prime Focus has become one of the first to invest in Avid Media Composer 5, just days after its official release. The facility beta tested the software before choosing to upgrade and placed an order for 43 licences with Avid reseller Root 6.
‘’Media Composer 5 allows us to offer our clients a more efficient editing workflow,’’ said Michael Wrightson, director of operations, UK at Prime Focus. “The ability to edit RED and QuickTime sourced content without transcoding simplifies the editing process. Media Composer 5 will also give us the ability to mix and match formats, frame rates and sizes, aspect ratios, and resolutions to an even greater extent than we previously could. It also confirms Prime Focus’ commitment to the efficient management of stereo 3D workflows – an integral part of our future strategy”.
