Netia at IT Broadcast Workflow

19 November 2009

TVBEurope’s forthcoming workflow event will showcase how L’_quipe 24/24 has integrated solutions to repurpose, distribute and archive a massive corpus of file-based media assets.

Speaking at the event, Sebastien Valere, operations and marketing director at L’_quipe 24/24, will discuss his implementation of Netia software to streamline audio and video for radio, TV, web and other platforms.

“Multimedia organisations must be equipped to repurpose and distribute file-based assets across any platform. The flexibility and interoperability of the Netia Manreo MAM platform were key to us establishing an archiving and repurposing workflow,” explained Valere.

L’_quipe 24/24 manages new media for L’_quipe TV, the website L’, and the L’_quipe radio station, with over 10,000 videotapes, stills and articles dating back to 1920. It deployed Netia’s Manreo Hypercast Warehouse MAM platform and the Netia Workflow Engine automation system along with a Quantel editing platform and the Sinequa search engine to enable an exchange of media between the edit platform and archive system.

Hypercast Warehouse interfaces with acquisition, production, automation, and storage applications to manage audio, video, and images in all file formats. The Netia Workflow Engine automates the archiving features of Hypercast Warehouse, while streamlining overall workflow, saving time, and preventing human error.

“The TVBEurope conference is slated to showcase some of the most exciting and innovative digital workflows being implemented,” said Christine Jecko, VP sales at Netia. Scheduled for December 1 at the Royal College of Physicians, The IT Broadcast Workflow event will explain how to remove cost from the mechanics of producing and delivering TV.
