NEC to deliver ‘stable operation’ at IBC201619 August 2016
NEC will showcase its latest digital TV transmitter series at IBC2016.
The series, designed to reduce customer’s cost of ownership and offer ‘stable operation’, ranges from high to low power output and possesses hardware-based 2K/4K codecs and 4K software codec for HDR.
According to NEC, the high and middle power output range transmitters ‘guarantee’ energy effiency of over 38 per cent for UHF and 46 per cent for VHF, with a wideband power amplifier to cut maintenance costs.
The low power output models have been designed as an all-in-one, compact design, say the company, with all functions integrated into a single unit, mountable to a standard 19-inch rack.
