Marshall launches full HD compact camera22 December 2014
Marshall has unveiled its new CV342 Compact 2.2 Megapixel HD-SDI Broadcast Camera. The camera delivers full-HD video in 1920x1080p (60, 59.94, 50, 30, 25fps), 1920x1080i (60, 59.94, 50fps), and 1280x720p (60, 59.94, 50, 30, 25fps).
The camera incorporates a 2.2 Megapixel 1/3-inch CMOS Sensor with CS mount and DC Auto-Iris functionality. This new sensor and chip set enable the camera to output HD 12-bit digital image signals from 2.2 million pixels at 60fps through a full size HDSDI(3G-SDI) BNC with very low power consumption, 180mA max.
The Auto/Manual White Balance, Shutter control, Gamma/Color adjustments, Wide Dynamic Range, Digital Noise Reduction, Digital Defog SmartIR, High Light Compensation, are designed to help capture clear video in a variety of conditions.
“Customers are using our compact HD cameras for ON-AIR broadcast POV shots, sportscasts, live music events, auto and horse racing, newscasts. It only makes sense to improve the video quality and functionality of the widely used CV340 into a smaller, more compact rugged body. That’s what you get with the next generation CV342,” commented Tod Musgrave, product marketing engineer.
The CV342 is about 5cm in diameter and weighs 160g. A variety of specialty lenses can be utilised, and Marshall carries fixed and varifocal lenses, ranging from 2.4mm-50mm.
