LipSync invests and expands

The LipSync Group has announced that it is to invest approximately _500,000 to expand its successful film VFX department and award-winning creative agencies. The investment will acquire and equip a 6800 square foot premises in Wardour Street, London, which will be connected via SohoNet to LipSync’s main building, also in Wardour Street.

“We are very proud of our continuing success in the creative industries. Demand for our services has been increasing exponentially over the last few years and, since we like to reward success with investment, we are providing a future-proof environment which will allow for further expansion over the next few years,” said Jon Diamond, MD for the LipSync Group of Companies.

The new investment will build on the major impact that LipSync is making on film post production in the UK. Recent high-profile films that have undergone the LipSync treatment include ‘United 93′, ’28 Weeks Later’, ‘1408’ and ‘Stardust’, and in the last month alone it has won several full post contracts for feature films, supplying DI, VFX and audio post services.

LipSync Creative, which currently holds the coveted HEW Agency of the Year award, specialises in producing TV and radio campaigns, DVD promotional campaigns and special features for leading distributors including Warner Bros., Universal and Paramount, and high-end corporate communications for clients such as Mars and JP Morgan. Synchronicity produces theatrical trailers, TV and radio campaigns and promotions for film distributors including 20th Century Fox.

The new building will house a new Isilon 13Tb server, plus Linux Workstations running Apple’s Shake and Autodesk’s Maya, and Avid Media Composer Adrenaline editing systems.
