ITV Content Store joins the ITBW

The UK’s ITV Content Store is the final broadcaster case study to join the line up for The IT Broadcast Workflow at BAFTA next Tuesday, writes Fergal Ringrose.
 
Red Bee Media recently launched a new service for ITV to store, enhance and deliver its content to platforms including ITV Broadcasting, Amazon, BT Vision, iTunes, ITV.com and Virgin Media. This case study, sponsored by Snell, will be presented by Chris Wood, principal software architect at Red Bee Media.
 
Content Store was an evolution of Red Bee’s digital workflow platform, enabling ITV to control and manage its media, metadata and workflows via generic interfaces with its own systems. Although customer-specific workflows were necessary, they were developed extremely rapidly, yet in a way that was able to grow with ITV’s requirements and ambitions.
