IP enables better storytelling23 August 2016
The EVS stand at IBC will essentially be an IP-enabled hub, allowing live media flows that could connect live sports venues, broadcast centre control rooms and consumers.
Introduced this summer at high-profile international flagship sporting events, C-Next is a new live connected tool that reflects the capabilities of the IP4Live strategic initiative from EVS. This contribution network platform gives remote teams the ability to share files and metadata content over IP, from any OB truck, broadcast centre or production HQ.
EVS is also demonstrating its new-generation IPWeb – a remote access application that lets users browse and select content no matter where they are – and the IT/software-based, fully scalable architecture of its IP-based DYVI production switcher. DYVI is being shown in full 4K/UHD mode, which EVS claimed enables more creative and productive program assembly based on a pooled resources model.
