IBC Executive Summary now online

This year’s IBC Executive Summary, published by The IBC Daily and TVBEurope, is now available online and in print. Adorning the front cover this year is international recording artist and producer who wowed the IBC audience with his unique take on technology as a force for change. The Black Eyed Peas frontman, who is also Intel’s director of creative innovation, has collaborated with Intel scientists, programmers and marketers to promote content, technology and hardware strategies. “I believe creativity enhanced by technology has the capacity to change cultures for the better. Technology allows us to amplify our ideas, amplify our creativity and find new ways of solving problems,” he said. Other highlights in this year’s Executive Summary include an interview with Avatar Director James Cameron. He talks about digital exploration following his recent test dives in a mini submarine for the documentary James Cameron’s Deepsea Challenge 3D for a National Geographic 3D documentary. “We’re still in the pioneering stage but there’s a lot of activity in 3DTV and CPG is busier than ever,” he explained. On the technology side, hear from David Eun of Samsung Electronics on its strategy of moving from being a leading maker of devices – from TVs to mobile phones to refrigerators and other consumer electronics – towards also being a company, which integrates those devices with compelling content and services. “We are looking at everything and we are open to everything,” he remarked. Read the IBC Executive Summary now online.
