New for IBC2011 is the Future Zone, which will be displaying the latest technology and R&D from around the world. Incorporating the New Technology Campus, the Future Zone will feature Super Hi-Vision from NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) and 2020 3D Media Consortium’s research in to novel technologies for the capture, production and display of stereoscopic content, including 3D sound. You can see its prototype for a trifocal rig and an omni-directional production and playback system. You have to be there to experience it.
