dock10 and Infostrada to deliver cloud-based media services

dock10, the MediaCityUK based media services provider and Infostrada (the new company name of Parkpost), the global media and technology provider, have formed a strategic joint venture to deliver a set of cloud-based production and distribution services to the UK media industry. Responding to the challenges of the UK broadcast industry, the joint venture partners have developed a range of secure cloud-based services set to transform content production and management by minimising capital requirements and putting control back in the hands of the user. Services include remote content editing, media archiving and an approach to content ingest. These services, aimed at UK broadcasters, production companies and post facilities, will be marketed by dock10 and are to include Infostrada’s CentralParq workflow and media asset management platform. “Industry bodies such as the Digital Production Partnership have highlighted the challenges and opportunities the industry faces in moving to a completely digital workflow,” said Mark Senior, CEO, dock10. “Our joint venture with Infostrada will deliver secure, practical production technology and help UK media companies become ever more efficient whilst reducing the overheads of managing digital media technology.” “The infrastructure at MediaCityUK provides the perfect platform to deliver our innovative services to UK customers,” said Michiel Van Duijvendijk, CEO, Infostrada Broadcast Technology. “Our extensive expertise in delivering cloud-based postproduction services and tapeless workflows will answer the rising demand for smarter, more efficient postproduction and distribution solutions.”
