datamena and Türk Telekom sign connectivity agreement4 March 2014
UAE-based carrier neutral data centre and connectivity platform datamena has signed an agreement with Türk Telekom International (TTI) to expand data connectivity in the Middle East and beyond.
The partnership agreement was signed on 2 March between datamena’s Hany Ali, executive vice president of enterprise marketing, and Cengiz Oztelcan, CEO of TTI (both pictured).
“Türk Telekom International brings a wealth of opportunities to datamena customers,” said Mahesh Jaishankar, vice president, datamena. “Named best Central and Eastern European Wholesale Carrier at the Global Carrier Awards 2013, TTI will particularly expand the connectivity options to Turkey, Eastern and Central Europe. TTI will also bring Gulfstream AMEER, a new alternative route between the Middle East and Europe, into datamena, where it can connect further to other cables such as MEETS. Our state of the art facilities host a multitude of regional and international entities, providing better connectivity to the MEA region.”

Türk Telekom International joins the group of more than 40 customers interconnecting through datamena’s platform in the UAE, provided in alliance with Equinix.
