5 May 2011

AV/broadcast trade distributor Bright Space Technologies has provided Avocent HMX KVM-over-IP technology – specifically, 17 Avocent HMX HMIQSHDI and HMX-1070 pairs – to systems integrator dB Broadcast for use in BBC West One facility edit suites.

Avocent HMX is a KVM-over-IP solution designed for editors who need to physically separate the computer from the user in the work environment. It enables computers and users to be located anywhere on the network.

Colin Clarke, senior technical sales manager for Bright Space Technologies, commented: “Bright Space is very happy with this latest product placement. The Avocent HMX and AMX KVM solutions are firm a favourite with broadcasters and edit houses around the world for their superb firmware selection and interaction with the WACOM Intuos M4 edit tablet systems.”
