Bolin comes out fighting at IABM

6 September 2007

Rick Bolin has been appointed as CEO designate of the IABM who represent broadcast and media technology suppliers worldwide. Rick will take up the appointment on 1 October, taking over from the current CEO Roger Crumpton in 2008, writes Fergal Ringrose.

The IABM Chairman Graham Pitman said, “We are delighted to have secured the services of Rick Bolin as our new CEO. This appointment, coming at this point in our development, will enable us to build on the extensive changes we have made in the last two years and to meet the strategic challenges we face over the immediate years ahead.”

Rick Bolin is a Canadian, educated in the USA with a BA from the University of Arizona. After positions in the Colorado Governor’s Office of Innovation & Technology and Ciber Inc, he became President and CEO of HyperSpace Communications Inc. Until recently Bolin was Chief Executive Officer of FBBT (Fighting Bull Broadcasting Technologies) based in Belfast.

Roger Crumpton commented, “Rick will bring new depth and insight to our executive team. We will be working closely together over the months ahead and I wish him well for the future. Not only will the IABM be in safe hands but our considerable momentum will be maintained.”
