Arqiva ‘making plans’ for £5 billion sale25 November 2016
UK transmission and media services provider Arqiva is ‘making plans’ for a £5 billion sale that would see it abandon plans for a stock-market listing, according to Sky News.
The report said that Arqiva is close to hiring banks to advise on the sale.
Arqiva, which has steadied the ship following a major financial restructuring, has more than 8,000 sites across the UK, with its mobile masts used by customers including EE, O2 and Vodafone.
Any sale would not get underway for several months, with some believing it may not be completed until 2018.
The company posted revenues of £884 million for the year to June, up 3.2 per cent, and EBITDA before exceptional items of £428 million, up two per cent.
